Arriving shortly before sunrise I found myself wading through stomach high water in minimal light in order to find my desired composition. Once setup I waited patiently for the sun to rise giving the sky and water these beautiful pastel tones. Utilizing a 10 stop neutral density filter and cable shutter release I was able to slow my shutter speed to 1.5 minutes giving the silky smooth effect to the Gulf.
